Job Description 

Our Corporate Development Team drives business through 3rd party distribution channels (Wholesale, Franchise, Licensing, etc.) ASOS, Zalando, and About You are a few examples of multi-brand platforms that we collaborate with. We increase brand awareness and shopability in current and new markets around the globe. The Corporate Development Merchant focuses on brand and assortment strategy through these channels. We focus on building relationships, understanding each partner’s key benefits and potential to align on priorities and growth strategies. Our team works closely with internal cross functional teams to service partners and gain insight into Brand strategies and priorities. Success is proper brand & assortment representation that reaches each partner’s unique customer and drives growth across all brands/genders.

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.  

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • 3rd Party Merchandising for assigned brand

  • Partner with Brand team to communicate branded strategies/priorities to partners and collaborate to integrate into local market needs; Anticipate gaps in the assortments and work with Brand teams to action

  • Partner with Brand team to facilitate the buy and influence partners to invest; use relationships to build excitement from partners and drive revenue

  • Collaborate with Corporate Development Accounts team and work with partners on OTB/Forecasting/Hind sighting

  • Monitor and track sales /KPI performance by brand/partner and address opportunities to capture additional revenue

  • Collaborate with retail teams to offer insights and influence the product assortments

  • Ensure contractual responsibilities are met by A&F and partner; working closely with Accounts team

 

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience  

  • 2+ years of Merchandising experience

  • Experience working in relevant industry roles

  • Understanding of retail product development timeline/calendar

  • Experience working well in a cross-functional team environment

  • Strong communication skills

  • Thrives in a “start-up” type business environment, susceptible to constant change and new process implementation

  • Motivated by business profitability and prospect of business growth

  • Organizational skills & ability to manage many simultaneous workstreams

  • Curiosity & eagerness to creatively solve problems

  • Significant knowledge of Microsoft Office programs – esp. Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Desire to learn & hunger for more!
