Senior Engineer, Full Stack (Remote)

Job Description 

The Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for development, operations and support of our A&F, A&F kids, Hollister, Gilly Hicks and Social Tourist brand global ecommerce websites. In this role, you will work within a team to implement new features and functionality as well as maintain, support, and upgrade existing functionality. In addition, you will utilize prior eCommerce experience to identify and implement improvements in current technology implementations.

 

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Develop, maintain and enhance our web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as React, Node, NextJs or Vue etc.
  • Implement rapid updates to fulfill changing business and marketing requirements.
  • Build reusable code for future use and shared customer experiences.
  • Monitor website performance, watch for site usability problems, and rectify the issues.
  • Develop functional and technical documentation and designs for assigned projects.
  • Work within a team environment, supporting the team goals, and improving web development engineering practices.
  • Write clean, maintainable and testable code.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions and sprint planning.
  • Develop code consistent with A&F standard coding practices.
  • Experience with Git, Agile methodologies and continuous integration and deployment

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in full stack development using JavaScript technologies.
  • Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, unit test, system test, deployment and production support.
  • Demonstrable experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Redux, NextJs, TypeScript etc.
  • Strong experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js and Express etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD  and automated testing workflows
  • Unit testing and test-driven development (Jasmine, Karma, or similar)
  • Experience with GraphQL or any other Query Based Languages.
  • Experience working on Caching data using Redis, Elastic Cache or equivalent.
  • Experience working on CDN and Cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
  • Understanding of building accessible web experiences and design systems.
