Company Description

What Will You Be Doing? 

 

·        Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts/documents related to day to day operation of the company through China

·        Conduct legal research & analyze business impact on various issues, legal inquiry to authorities and draft related legal memos on the research and inquiry result.

·        Provide in house legal support and solutions to retail, Ecommerce and supply China related businesses’ operation issues (incl. quality and regulations of products, governmental check, customer complaint etc.,) arising during daily business operations.

·        Assist to develop, implement, and optimize internal processes and procedures with the guidance of line manager to ensure compliance and effective risk control.

·        Support on compliance programs, policy rolling out in APAC and training, provide solutions to compliance issues; Support on ethics cases investigation as necessarily instructed by line manager.

·        Provide legal support on cooperate governance issues (including but not limited to change of directors, shareholder resolution, retail license applications, etc.) on project base as assigned

·        Provide legal support on employment issues. Advise on data privacy related legal matters and help to improve the procedures and processes related to protection of personal data and sensitive data with collaboration with global team as needed

·        Draft all various documents and responses, explanations to government inquire as instructed by line manager.

·        Review & keep updated on national and state legislation that may affect retail industry.

·        Communicate and calibrate with global team for all inquiries and cases.

·        Responsible for any tasks, assignments and ad hoc as assigned by line manager.

 

What Do You Need To Bring? 

·         At least Bachelor’s degree of Law from a leading Chinese law school; PRC Bar is a must.

·         3-8 years working experience in law firm or in-house position in multinational companies with general legal knowledge and practice experience. Experience in retail or digital ecommerce industry would be a plus.

·         Good knowledge and experience in commercial laws and contracts review; Familiar with PRC employment, data privacy and cybersecurity, and IP would be a plus.  Strong analytical skills and communication skills.

·         Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

·         Proactive and initiative; Team spirit, Collaborative, and Details focus.

·         Mature, sophisticated, easy to communicate with and practical solution provider.   

·         Ability to prioritize multi-tasking and be able to work with fast pace.

·         Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin
