Job Description 

The Brand Protection Coordinator is an entry point investigative role responsible for developing targeted investigations as identified through review, analysis, and strategic execution of the broader internet enforcement programs, including resolving trademark, copyright, and various other instances of brand abuse online via effective reporting channels. The Brand Protection Coordinator will further support the global Brand Protection team in all areas, including but not limited to case entry and updates (including research, intelligence gathering, and logging physical evidence), vendor setup and invoice processing, partner training, and coordinating and/ or otherwise assisting with cross-functional department projects.

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.  

 

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Detection and submission of trademark, copyright, and brand abuse online, including evidentiary work product preparation as appropriate
  • Maintaining communication with corporate Brand Protection team regarding ongoing case work, results metrics, and global training opportunities
  • Preparation of case reports and updates that provide investigative details and findings as well as identifying control weaknesses with recommended solutions and process improvements
  • Coordinate efforts with Global Home Office personnel to authenticate products
  • Vendor maintenance, including setup, documentation, and invoice processing
  • Train and liaise with stores Asset Protection staff
  • Coordinate investigative efforts and provide training for private investigative groups, local law enforcement, customs agencies, and corporate attorneys
  • Administration of all Brand Protection programs, as assigned
  • Other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by Brand Protection leadership

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years of experience with investigations or asset protection preferred
  • Knowledgeable in Intellectual Property Rights concepts (e.g., trademarks, copyrights)
  • Experience with online research, including open-source repositories such as social media sites and forums (familiarity with Internet law preferred)
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google, and basic digital photography; familiarity with other O365 applications (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate, Power BI) is a plus;
  • Outstanding attention to detail and curiosity; a drive to figure out how things work with an ability to multi-task and problem solve
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort with repetitive tasks and penchant for process and efficiency improvement
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while working on sensitive matters
  • Must demonstrate an ability to plan and work independently
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%)
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience
