Information Technology at Abercrombie & Fitch is fundamental to designing, sourcing, developing, and delivering fashion forward merchandise to our customers.  We are committed to implementing new strategic and systematic approaches to generate dynamic technology solutions for our growing business.  This position will be responsible for supporting our Domestic DTC Warehouse Management Systems. This individual will work with our business partners to enhance warehousing process and support day-to-day activities. They will be responsible for application support, design/analysis, estimating, coding, testing, application performance, documenting all code, and maintaining/upgrading existing applications. We’re seeking a candidate that is constantly challenging the status quo and seeking out innovation in an ever-evolving retail environment.

 

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Support of Manhattan WMOS environment including operations, upgrades, enhancements, integrations, vendor management, etc
  • Design, coding, and configuration of business logic in WMS applications, mobile-web or desktop-web screen layouts, printed forms, interfaces with other systems, and reporting/dashboards.
  • Participating in gathering requirements and data needs from DC operations.
  • Analyzing technical requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, and interfaces with other systems.
  • Developing accurate estimates and assisting other team members with the estimation process.
  • Writing and interpreting both high-level and detailed designs both individually and with peers.
  • Taking part in code reviews of business logic and interfaces.
  • Writing and executing test cases during the testing phase, reviewing test results, and assisting in troubleshooting defects. 
  • Analyzing code, config, data, and logs to find causes of errors and revises applications as needed.
  • Coordination and communication with IT and third-party vendors.
  • Providing on-call support including off-hours on nights/weekends (as required) for end users of the system and responds to reports of system malfunctions. 
  • Defining, building, and tuning monitors and reports.
  • Planning and execution of production code deployments
  • Mentoring junior team members, contractors, and external teams as needed.

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • 6+ years of experience in technical support role of Manhattan WMOS.  Version 2016 or higher is preferred.
  • Strong technical experience in PL/SQL, Unix/Linux, and Oracle RDMS
  • Experience in MHE integrations and support.  Voice Picking and Labor Management experience a plus.
  • 2+ years’ experience on either the Functional/Business and/or Technical side in the Supply Chain field to be able to quickly understand and assess the business processes and requirements.
  • Strong understanding of WMS concepts, particularly Customer Fulfillment.
  • Great communication skills both written and verbal, ability to coordinate with clarity and brevity at both a business and technical level.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, design and development skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills; capable of multi-tasking across several projects.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented concepts, patterns, and practices. 
  • Ability to work long hours and weekends as dictated by business needs.
  • Bachelor's degree or greater in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science (CS)/Computer & Information Science (CIS), or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Experience using a Java web application framework (ThymeLeaf, SpringBoot, MyBatis, Struts2, Spring MVC, Spring REST, etc.).
  • Experience using a Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) server -- Apache Tomcat or Oracle WebLogic, JBoss AS.
  • Experience using K8, Cloud Services, Docker Containers, and/or OpenShift.
  • Experience with front-end web concepts and technologies: CSS, HTML, JSP, JavaScript, Bootstrap/Foundation, ReactJS, AngularJS/Backbone/Knockout.
  • Experience building automated unit tests (JUnit) in a continuous integration development project.
