Associate Financial Analyst, Revenue Accounting

Job Description 
The Revenue Accounting Team attests to the accuracy and completeness of reported sales and ensures all forms of payment – cash, debit, credit, and alternative payment methods – are received, accounted for, and reconciled with Sales. The Revenue Accounting Team is responsible for all brands; domestic and international; online and in-store transactions. The team partners with IT, Store Operations, Treasury, Asset Protection, and Finance to manage the entire sales and payments processes to ensure operations are efficient, thorough, and in-line with the ever-changing business needs.

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.  

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Reconcile Non-Cash payments using Trintech’s ReconNET™
  • Attest daily to completeness and accuracy of reported transactions and subsequent funding
  • Identify and escalate any issues that may hinder cash collection/settlement or permit loss
  • Partner with Finance, Point of Sale and Direct to Consumer teams to validate Sale transactions through timely, complete, and accurate Payment reconciliations
  • Question current processes, drive improvements
  • Manage tasks and assigned deliverables using a calendar; meet deadlines
  • Follow up and follow through
  • Follow the necessary processes to support month-end Close
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of actual results in correlation to monthly projections; react accordingly

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • Passion and optimism for the work, business, brands & customers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • 2-4 years of experience with business intelligence solutions (e.g., Oracle Business Intelligence) is preferred
  • Full understanding of basic accounting principles (e.g., revenue recognition, expense matching)
  • Strong data mining skills (Experience with Peoplesoft, Hyperion, Excel or Business Intelligence software)
  • Aptitude to draw a correlation among data points, trouble shoot, and action resolution
  • Ability to reconcile large volumes of data using Excel and/or third-party reconciliation software
  • Flexibility to adapt and work in a fast-paced, structured environment
  • A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional partners to achieve team and business goals
