Associate Financial Analyst - Consolidations & Intercompany Accounting

Job Description 

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. is currently seeking an Associate Financial Analyst to join the Global Consolidations and Financial Systems team. The role will have responsibility for a variety of accounting areas and financial close activities, including but not limited to intercompany accounting, foreign currency matters, consolidations and eliminations, and Finance project management. In addition to recurring duties, this role will have a focus on performing ad hoc assignments and driving process improvements throughout the finance organization.

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.  

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of consolidation of global enterprise financial results in accordance with US GAAP and company policies while maintaining a strong internal control environment
  • Record journal entries and reconciliations of intercompany transactions for domestic and international legal entities
  • Support treasury in maintaining an effective hedge program, including identification and analysis of foreign currency exchange exposures, and recording capitalization and equity decisions
  • Assist with Finance ERP system maintenance requests and act as the SME for Financial systems and projects
  • Prepare disclosures, flux, and variance analyses to support the international statutory reporting function
  • Dig into issues, diagnose, and problem solve often in ambiguous situations
  • Complete ad hoc requests as assigned
  • Collaborate with partners in Finance, the Controller’s group, Tax, and Treasury

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business major, or related experience
  • 1-3 years relevant experience working in Accounting, Finance, or Public Accounting (multi-national, public company preferred)
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt and work in a fast-paced environment, flexible to changing business priorities
  • Strong organization, communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional business partners in non-hierarchical environment
  • Creative approach to problem solving with a humble, team-oriented, and optimistic attitude
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, experience with PeopleSoft, Hyperion, or similar system preferred
  • Desire to learn and hunger for more
