    Job Description

    The ORC NY Manager works alongside the A&F Asset protection field-based team and is responsible for managing organized retail crime and external fraud investigations within and assigned market and throughout the assigned zone. Basic job duties require the ability to work full time in the NYC area, with frequent travel to the tri-state area and other areas of the country. The ORC Manager will also be responsible for leading and developing other ORC team members within assigned zone.

    The ORC Investigator will have responsibility in maintaining the high standards established around organized retail crime investigations, preventative training, and impactful partnerships to impact shrink and protection of company assets. 

    What will you be doing?

    ·       Initiate and conduct investigations for individuals, groups, and locations associated with ORC activity impacting our brands

    ·       Utilize investigative resources (i.e. exception-based reporting, store reports, awareness training procedures, Open source intelligence investigations, static and mobile surveillance, interviewing etc.) to source, build, and develop cases

    ·       Communicate with Regional Managers of Asset Protection and other field level associates to develop ORC cases and identify external theft opportunities

    ·       Source and identify physical and online fence locations and other fraud operations impacting our business and brands

    ·       Document cases and present detailed case files to law enforcement and prosecutorial partners

    ·       Leverage state and local ORC laws to document and communicate priority cases

    ·       Coordinate with law enforcement, prosecutorial partners, and various court officials to ensure successful prosecution and restitution recovery.

    ·       Establish and maintain key partnerships with law enforcement, mall security, retail business partners and ORC Alliances. 

    ·       Establish and maintain open lines of communication and information sharing with peer retail ORC and Loss Prevention departments, to include company approved ORC bulletins/BOLOs, surveillance and investigation findings, and effective awareness training methods.

    ·       Analyze trends of organized retail crime, internal collusion, and other external fraud 

    ·       Lead and coordinate aggressive field blitz operations 

    ·       Prepare updates regarding trends, relevant cases and data, action plans, and recommendations related to ORC activity in assigned market to present to Asset Protection & Cross Functional partners

    ·       Provide progress reports and highlights the areas of success and opportunity throughout assigned area and areas of supervision.  Effectively communicates results and recommendations to ORC Program Manager and other key business partners

    ·       Provide field Asset Protection associates ORC awareness training; partner and educate store leadership teams and store personnel with external and ORC awareness training and communication standards.      

    ·       Lead and develop and manage other assigned ORC team members

     

     

    Qualifications

    ·       Bachelor's degree

    ·       Knowledge of local NYC areas to facilitate investigative efforts

    ·       Basic job duties require the ability to work full time in the NYC area and travel to remote markets to assist in ORC related activities

    ·       Ability to navigate diverse environments (ie malls, flea markets, static/mobile surveillance locations, court houses)

    ·       Minimum of 2 years’ experience conducting ORC investigations and interviewing

    ·       4+ years management responsibility in a multi-unit asset protection environment

    ·       Wicklander-Zulawski interview training preferred

    ·       Fluent Spanish preferred

    ·       Ability to work nights, evenings and weekends appropriate to investigation and retail business needs.

    • Proficiency in exception-based reporting, trending analysis.  Experience with the use of industry-based software tools that include Aspect, XBR, LPSoftware, Tableau, and Profitect beneficial.

    ·       Must have attention to detail with a strong focus on analytics

    • Must be a team player with superior communication (both oral and written), interpersonal and consultative skills

    ·       Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately

    ·       Highly motivated with ability to thrive in a fluid and demanding and autonomous environment

    ·       Ability to evaluate circumstances and make timely decisions based on company guidelines

    ·       Must pass a comprehensive background investigation
