    Job Description

    Our distribution network is built to deliver stock to our stores and fulfill direct-to-consumer orders with speed and efficiency. Merchandise is shipped to our distribution centers ("DCs”), where it is received and inspected before being shipped to stores or direct-to-consumer customers. Our two company-owned DCs are in New Albany, Ohio and total more than 2 million sq. ft. By joining the Abercrombie and Fitch Co. team, you will become part of a world-class leader in retail, while utilizing your skills and talents in a fast-paced environment. The Distribution Center operation encompasses merchandise processors, material handlers, and power equipment operators.  These positions support our Supply Chain division servicing Retail Stores and Direct to Consumer operations.  Positions may include but not limited to picking, packing, sorting, auditing, storing and retrieving. 

    The Seasonal Lead will help lead and direct a group of anywhere from 20 to 75 hourly distribution center associates. Core functions include coaching; training, counseling and motivating his/her team while driving business results.

    What you could be doing?

    • Coaching and leading hourly associates in individual and group settings
    • Motivating and engaging individual and team performance, achieving productivity and accuracy goals
    • Assisting in identifying opportunities for improvement in processes, training, and staffing utilization
    • Demonstrating conflict avoidance and resolution techniques
    • Communicating ideas, suggestions and concerns to management
    • Using reporting and analytical tools to ensure productivity and accuracy goals are met
    • Assisting in developing daily staffing plans
    • Other duties as assigned

    What will you need to bring?

    • High School Diploma
    • At least 1-2 years experience preferred
    • Previous leadership experience preferred
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Energetic and adaptable in a fast-paced distribution environment
    • Ability to use critical thinking to proactively identify and remove obstacles to success
    • Proficient Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Able to work overtime, including extra days
    • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems is a plus
