Job Description
The Director, Cross-Portfolio Promotion & Portfolio Activation is a pivotal marketing leader within the Allergan Aesthetics (AA) US Portfolio Marketing organization. This role is the primary owner of cross-portfolio promotion and product offering initiatives and serves as the operational backbone of portfolio-wide activation — ensuring that integrated campaigns, HCP-facing tools, and cross-brand initiatives are developed, sequenced, and executed with precision and impact.
Sitting at the intersection of brand strategy, commercial execution, and performance analytics, the Director translates portfolio-level priorities into actionable programs that drive cohesion across the AA brand portfolio — spanning Facial, Body, Skin, and Plastics. Success in this role requires a combination of strong program management discipline, analytical rigor, and the ability to build collaborative relationships across brand, Sales, field, and communications teams.
Key Responsibilities
Cross-Portfolio Promotion & Product Offerings Ownership
- Own end-to-end development, execution, and performance tracking of cross-portfolio promotional programs and product offering initiatives, serving as the single accountable leader for program integrity and outcomes.
- Define the strategic framework, creative direction, and commercial application of cross-portfolio promotions, ensuring alignment with broader portfolio strategy and individual brand objectives.
- Identify and develop multi-brand product offering bundles, tiered programs, and promotional constructs that maximize synergy across the AA portfolio and drive incremental practice revenue.
- Partner cross-functionally with brand teams, Medical Affairs, PR/Communications, and agency partners to bring cross-portfolio programs to market with consistency and quality.
Portfolio Integrated Execution
- Build and manage a portfolio campaign calendar that maps all major portfolio-level initiatives, ensuring integrated, logically sequenced execution across brands and channels.
- Coordinate with brand, commercial, and communications teams to align timing, messaging, and channel strategy — minimizing conflicts and maximizing synergy across campaigns.
- Serve as the connective tissue between brand-level planning and portfolio-level execution, proactively identifying and resolving gaps in activation.
- Lead the development of HCP-facing tools, resources, and materials that support cross-portfolio programs and product offerings, enabling the field team to effectively communicate the breadth and value of the AA portfolio in clinical and practice settings.
- Define, track, and report on tactical Key Success Indicators (KSIs) for cross-portfolio promotion and product offering programs, identifying execution gaps and areas of opportunity.
- Develop and deliver actionable performance insights to inform portfolio strategy priorities and resource allocation decisions.
- Partner with MABI and analytics partners to build consistent measurement frameworks for cross-portfolio initiatives.
Operational Leadership & Executive Communication
- Partner on the development of operational meeting agendas, frameworks, and materials, supporting alignment and decision-making across stakeholder groups.
- Lead board slide development for cross-portfolio activation initiatives, translating complex performance data and strategic narratives into clear, executive-level communications.
- Contribute to Monthly Marketing Calls and other portfolio brand forums as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in brand management, portfolio marketing, or integrated marketing, preferably within aesthetics, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries.
- Demonstrated experience developing multi-channel campaigns and strategies
- Strong program management skills with the ability to build and manage complex, cross-functional campaign calendars.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience defining KPIs/KSIs, measuring program performance, and generating actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to present to senior and executive audiences.
- Experience partnering with Sales, field teams, and commercial operations to drive program adoption.
Travel Requirements: Moderate travel required for leadership meetings, field visits, conferences, and cross-functional workshops.
