Job Description
Role Purpose
The Associate Brand Manager is responsible for supporting the development and execution of local brand marketing plans, while coordinating marketing operations, documentation, and compliance processes to ensure all activities are delivered in line with internal policies, SFDA regulations, and applicable industry standards. The role bridges strategic brand execution with operational excellence, contributing to brand growth, market share objectives, audit readiness, and effective cross-functional collaboration across marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Tactical Plan Execution
- Support the development and execution of local brand marketing plans in alignment with regional marketing strategy and local market objectives.
- Assist in identifying clear roles and responsibilities for delivery of local marketing tactics and communicate them to relevant stakeholders, including Field Team , cross-functional partners and Agencies
- Track implementation of activities in the local market plan, working with agencies and country teams to ensure timely and effective execution.
- Monitor local competitor activities and market trends, providing feedback to the marketing team to inform strategy adjustments.
- Review implementation of the local marketing plan and feed back insights to the regional marketing team.
Promotional Materials & SFDA Submissions
- Manage the review, approval, and submission of promotional and marketing materials through approved systems (e.g., Veeva Vault).
- Coordinate localization and adaptation of global/regional materials in line with local regulatory requirements and regional marketing strategy.
- Support SFDA submission activities, including dossier preparation, tracking, follow-up, and approval management.
- Collaborate with local Regulatory and Medical Affairs teams to ensure promotional materials are managed through the local regulatory approval process and delivered on time.
- Ensure all materials meet compliance requirements, including approved claims, fair balance, and required disclaimers.
- Report on effectiveness of local materials and activities, recommending amendments to the Brand Manager and regional marketing team.
- Maintain version control and complete audit-ready documentation.
Sales & Budget Support
- Collaborate with the local team to support actions necessary toward achievement of agreed sales targets for the franchise and country.
- Assist in anticipating competitor strategy and developing counter-plans
- Support the management of promotional budget to ensure effective spend that delivers sales and profit targets.
- Manage marketing-related P2P activities, including vendor onboarding, PO creation, invoice validation, and payment follow-up.
- Ensure all transactions are supported by complete and compliant documentation.
- Coordinate with Finance and Procurement to ensure adherence to internal controls and timelines.
- Monitor budget utilization and escalate discrepancies when needed.
Digital Marketing & DTC
- Support the building of digital marketing capabilities as a key driver for market differentiation and business growth.
- Manage required approvals for digital and social media activities prior to activation.
- Coordinate onboarding of agencies, influencers, and third parties, including contracts and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with promotional requirements, adverse event reporting obligations, and internal digital governance standards.
- Ensure a basic understanding of digital marketing dynamics and social media marketing regulations.
- Maintain accurate approval logs and monitoring records.
KOL Engagement, Events, Congresses & HCP Engagement
- Support the management of local KOL development plans, local congresses, and new indication launches to ensure alignment with the local business plan and regional marketing strategy.
- Support documentation and approval processes for events, congresses, and HCP-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with engagement requirements and transfer of value obligations.
- Work with KOLs and strategic communication teams to support regional forums for delivery of product messages.
- Maintain complete supporting documents, including contracts, agendas, attendance records, and proof of execution.
- Support reconciliation and ensure post-event audit readiness.
Distributor & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate distributor-related marketing activities and ensure proper approval, execution, and closure.
- Track timelines, deliverables, and documentation throughout the activity lifecycle.
- Maintain complete filing and archiving of all related records.
- Ensure product knowledge of the brand and competitor products is consistently updated, current, and relevant.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely approval of marketing materials internally and through SFDA
- Full audit readiness across marketing activities
- Zero compliance issues due to documentation gaps
- Accurate and timely P2P execution and budget management
- Effective execution of local brand marketing plan tactics and activities
- Contribution to achievement of brand sales and market share objectives
- Timely and effective KOL engagement and event execution
- Complete traceability and documentation of marketing operations
Qualifications
Core Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Science, or a related field.
Brand and strategic marketing thinking
2-4 years of experience in marketing, with at least 1–2 years in brand management or product marketing, preferably within pharmaceutical, medical device, healthcare, or regulated industries.

Compliance and regulatory awareness
Familiarity with promotional review systems such as Veeva Vault or equivalent platforms.
Strong organizational and project management skills
Working knowledge of SFDA promotional submission processes and compliance requirements.
Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Experience in P2P coordination and cross-functional stakeholder management.
Cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills
Demonstrated abilities in cross-functional collaboration and working within a matrix organization.
Execution excellence and accountability
Strong analytical and financial skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
Self-starter; calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Fluency in English; additional language is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Compliance and Integrity
The Associate Brand Manager is responsible for conducting all activities on behalf of the company consistent with a high standard of business ethics and in full compliance with the laws, regulations, and internal policies that govern our activities, including SFDA promotional regulations and applicable industry codes of conduct.
