Job Description

Manager, Business Operational Excellence, AbbVie Bioresearch Center Inc., Worcester, MA (5 days a week on site).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to reduce operating costs, enhance efficiency, & minimize errors across organization.
  • Drive execution of improvement projects by leveraging Lean Six Sigma tools & guiding cross-functional teams through all project stages.
  • Responsible for data-driven analysis, stakeholder engagement, & effective coordination to ensure timely achievement of measurable results.
  • Provide training & mentorship in Business Excellence practices to support organizational objectives.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Must have a Master's in bio(chemical) engineering, life sciences, regulatory affairs related to drugs, biologics, medical devices or life sciences or other life sciences-related discipline & 3 years of experience driving operational improvements within the pharmaceutical &/or medical device industry.

Of experience required, must have at least 3 years:

  1. driving operational excellence in pharmaceutical &/or medical device manufacturing processes in a QA, QC, project management &/or engineering role; &
  2. (ii) working cross functionally with manufacturing stakeholders to drive manufacturing/operational improvements & resolving complex scientific, technical, analytical &/or business issues.

Alternatively, would accept a Bachelors in bio(chemical) engineering, life sciences, regulatory affairs related to drugs, biologics, medical devices or life sciences or other life sciences-related discipline & 5 years of experience driving operational improvements within the pharmaceutical &/or medical device industry.

Of experience required, must have at least 5 years:

  1. driving  operational excellence in pharmaceutical &/or medical device manufacturing processes in a QA, QC, project management &/or engineering role; &
  2. (ii) working cross functionally with manufacturing stakeholders to drive manufacturing/operational improvements & resolving complex scientific, technical, analytical &/or business issues.

With either combination of education & work experience, must have completed at least Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience. Work experience may be gained concurrently.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $175,282 - $208,500 per year.
