Job Description
The Associate Director of Patient Services Marketing, Parkinson's will lead the strategy, development and execution of integrated patient access marketing initiatives, supporting the Parkinson’s disease brand, VYALEV. This role drives provider and patient engagement across AbbVie's Patient Services (APS) workstreams, ensuring access strategies align with brand objectives and evolving care models.
As the patient access strategy subject matter expert, the Associate Director partners across a highly matrixed organization, including brand, market access, legal, finance, and technology partners, to translate business priorities into actionable marketing strategies. This individual will lead cross-functional planning, drive organizational alignment, and oversee the execution of impactful programs that improve the patient and provider access experience while delivering business results.
Responsibilities:
- Lead integrated access strategies and plans that translate care model priorities into effective marketing execution.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for provider access strategy, patient journey planning, segmentation, and resource development.
- Partner closely with the brand team, Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs), Market Access and key stakeholders to advance access priorities, align messaging, and support efficient resource utilization.
- Develop specific messaging and educational strategies that enhance provider engagement and patient understanding.
- Guide digital and content initiatives that strengthen the provider and patient experience across channels.
- Collaborate with the Training team to strengthen field force effectiveness through clear messaging, tools, and enablement support.
- Lead APS strategic brand planning to ensure alignment with brand imperatives.
- Support financial planning cycle, purchase order tracking, and ongoing monthly budget management.
- Contribute to cross-functional launch readiness.
- Oversee agency coordination, budget management, and executional pull-through.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 8+ years of marketing experience with the ideal candidate having some previous pharma experience.
- Proven marketing experience with increased proficiency in all marketing skills.
- Previous cross franchise/cross channel marketing experience preferred.
