Job Description
Purpose:
The SBO Contracting Team provides comprehensive procurement, contracting, and vendor management support across Clinical Sciences. Their work supports organizational goals such as accelerating research, reducing financial and operational risks, enabling business agility, and fostering strong stakeholder partnerships
This individual will support these goals by executing advanced/complex contract categories, provides SAP/SRM and process troubleshooting expertise, and supports onboarding, continuous improvement, and invoice/PO management in Clinical Sciences.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage advanced contracting categories: training, consulting, CRO, CDA, collaboration, membership/sponsorship and oversee process-specific ownership (per matrix).
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution for SAP/SRM, shopping carts, invoice upload/resolution, vendor master data, DSP requests.
- Alternate bi-weekly invoice management, addressing related payment issues and coordinating DSP requests/reviews.
- Fulfill PO/agreement documentation requests from business owners.
- Support onboarding/training for advanced contract types and exception scenarios; guide team on best practices for process documentation.
- Advise on templates, centralized recordkeeping (SET/ADCT forms, contract templates), and process improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required; science/business preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in business strategy and operational support.
- Advanced knowledge of Conga, iHub, dashboard/reporting tools is a plus
- Strong process troubleshooting and escalation skills.
- Excellent training and onboarding capabilities.
- Must have attention to detail along with an understanding of the quality/compliance environment.
- Proficiency as a user of Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Word, and SRM/SAP.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- The ability to manage internal and external relationships is a key success factor for this position.
- Must be goal oriented; work with minimal supervision and show ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
