Job Description
You will serve as a trusted medical and scientific partner, providing clinical expertise and strategic insight to support AbbVie’s business in Israel. In this role, you will help advance our mission by enabling informed, ethical, and science-driven decisions that improve patient outcomes and strengthen our impact in oncology.
Key Responsibilities
- You will provide scientific and medical expertise to support the Brand Team and broader cross-functional partners.
- You will partner with Marketing to review, guide, and approve promotional and training materials, ensuring scientific accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- You will deliver medical and scientific support, training, and guidance to the sales force and other internal stakeholders as needed.
- You will contribute scientific and clinical insight to key commercial initiatives, helping shape strategies that are aligned with business priorities and patient needs.
- You will build and maintain strong, credible professional relationships with key external stakeholders, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and relevant medical experts in your therapeutic area.
- You will represent AbbVie through scientific presentations to KOLs and medical teams at healthcare institutions.
- You will develop and maintain deep expertise in AbbVie’s products and the broader therapeutic landscape, staying current on emerging data, standards of care, and competitive developments.
- You will participate in scientific congresses, conferences, and medical meetings relevant to the therapeutic area.
- You will provide accurate, balanced, and timely medical information to both internal and external customers.
- You will support Regulatory Affairs and Market Access activities as needed, ensuring medical input is integrated into cross-functional priorities.
- You will help shape, plan, and execute the medical strategy and annual medical plan in alignment with GMA and Brand Team objectives.
- You will organize and moderate advisory boards, scientific lectures, educational activities, and other medical events.
- You will contribute to the preparation of new product launches, including relevant sections of submissions to the Ministry of Health such as clinical background, scientific rationale, summaries of supporting data, and local clinical experience.
Clinical Research Activities
- You will design and implement clinical research projects within defined standards and budgets, including Phase IV studies, post-marketing clinical activities, registry and database projects, epidemiological surveys, and PMOS studies.
- You will provide oversight for Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS), supporting review, approval, and ongoing execution in line with internal standards.
- You will support the Affiliate Clinical Research Department in the management of clinical studies as needed, including protocol review, investigator and site identification, and feasibility assessments.
Qualifications
- Preference for a relevant degree: Ph.D., MD, DVM, PharmD or D.M.D.
- At least two years in a similar role in a competitive medical-scientific environment — required; Oncology experience — an advantage.
- A Master's degree in science is acceptable together with relevant experience as Medical affairs professional, working with specialist doctors
