Job Description

 

Lead strategic and tactical elements of the brand strategy and tactical plan for IMBRUVICA in CLL, including value propositions, positioning, segmentation, and creative development. Develop and articulate effective oncology marketing strategies that are impactful, executable, easily communicated, and clinically/financially supported for relevant areas of responsibility (product/indication/channel).

Internally, the Associate Director will foster positive working relationships with the sales force, medical affairs, market research, sales training, regulatory, and other cross-functional marketing teams.  Externally, they will work with various agencies, consultants, physicians, and other marketing partners to successfully drive the business.  The candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization, with high expectations and accountability on quality of deliverables in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to achieve financial objectives. Responsibilities:

  • Build, manage, and execute marketing plans to achieve oncology business objectives and goals
  • Drive and participate in business and marketing planning processes specific to oncology.
  • Demonstrate and utilize a holistic understanding of oncology-specific financial planning.
  • Lead and manage direct report(s) and external partnerships within the oncology scope.
  • Influence business leaders and effectively collaborate cross-functionally within oncology and related functions to deliver business results.
  • Grow oncology brand/product penetration, market share, and awareness within designated markets.
  • Develop next-generation oncology products and/or product enhancements & experiences, leveraging the oncology patient journey.
  • Direct and manage projects, including execution of oncology marketing plans, initiatives, and tasks.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree in science, business, or healthcare preferred.
  • Proven marketing experience with increasing proficiency in all marketing skills, ideally within oncology or related therapeutic areas.
  • Previous cross-franchise/cross-channel marketing experience preferred, with launch experience highly valued.
  • Strong planning, project management, and organization skills, attention to detail, execution, and follow-through

 

  • Robust communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to make persuasive presentations to customers, agencies, partners and senior leadership
