Job Description
Purpose
The Associate Specialist, Talent Acquisition plays a critical role in delivering exceptional recruiting operations while leading a team of Talent Acquisition Coordinators. This role combines hands-on execution with leadership responsibility to enhance the end-to-end candidate and hiring manager experience. The incumbent will drive operational excellence and lead initiatives that leverage AI, automation, and innovative technologies to improve efficiency and elevate stakeholder experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of up to 8 Talent Acquisition Coordinators, setting clear priorities, performance expectations, and development plans
- Drive adoption and utilization of AI-driven and technology-enabled solutions to enhance recruiting operations and scheduling efficiency
- Oversee domestic, international, and executive interview coordination, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to support requisition execution and candidate progression
- Serve as a subject matter expert for executive hiring logistics and high-touch candidate care
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and increase operational efficiency
- Manage stakeholder relationships across recruiters, hiring leaders, and administrative teams
- Support recruiting events, conferences, and career fairs to strengthen the AbbVie employer brand
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and reporting accuracy within recruiting systems
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects that advance Talent Acquisition strategy and innovation
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3–6+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, HR operations, or coordination of business operations
- Experience leading teams, projects, or operational initiatives
- Strong interest in leveraging AI, automation, and technology to drive efficiencies
- Proven ability to manage high-volume, complex scheduling environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience supporting executive recruiting and high-level stakeholders preferred
- Proficiency with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with travel coordination and expense systems (e.g., Concur) preferred
