Job Description
The Compliance Analyst will be responsible for the management and successful completion of key operational responsibilities and activities. Specifically, they will provide support for department operations, project compliance, supplier on-boarding and evaluations, supplier vendor master updates, and continuous process improvements. They are expected to have a solid understanding of market research compliance requirements and processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- PO/POCN Review/Processing: Own the IMABI PO/POCN process - review, processing, and proactive monitoring - identify and remove blockers, escalate per governance, and operate with minimal managerial oversight
- Supplier Evaluations: Own the end‑to‑end IT.28 supplier evaluation and ongoing monitoring for market research suppliers—define/maintain the process, ensure audit‑ready compliance, and operate independently. Proactively surface patterns, lead root‑cause and corrective actions, and train/coach USMABI team members; escalate systemic risks and policy exceptions with data‑backed recommendations to manager.
- Supplier Onboarding/Maintenance: Own the end‑to‑end AbbVie Vendor Master onboarding and maintenance for market research suppliers—intake, validation, submission, approvals, and data updates—to ensure invoices process without delay.
- Support Insight Farm: Primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and third‑party suppliers on Insight Farm requests, incidents, and project needs; own intake‑to‑resolution and communications to meet SLAs. Apply deep system/process expertise to diagnose issues, make risk‑based decisions within delegated authority, and operate with minimal supervision; escalate systemic risks with clear recommendations.
- Insight Farm Process Improvement and Implementation: Own the continuous‑improvement agenda for Insight Farm. Working with manager and fellow teammates to identify, prioritize, and implement enhancements that strengthen compliance controls and streamline operations with minimal oversight.
- Manage Compliant Project Close-Out: Manage end‑to‑end Insight Farm project close‑out; ensure all MR projects reach Completed status within the required timeframe. Proactively track aging, coordinate with Suppliers, Researchers, Global Material Review (GMR), PV, and ICEx; validate deliverables and documentation, remove blockers, escalate per governance, and operate with minimal oversight.
- Maintaining GlobalBITeam Email Box: Maintain the GlobalBITeam email box for key business functions and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ad hoc Requests: Own ad hoc requests as they come up (e.g., updating supplier details in Insight Farm, updating processes, using AI effectively and training team, etc.). This requires versatility, ability to handle ambiguity and complexity with little oversight.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Project Management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years of experience in supplier management
- Demonstrated ability to think analytically, logically and problem solve
- Demonstrated proficiency with Insight Farm, SAP/SRM, DSP, and other systems
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and think clearly under pressure, as well as prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Ability to manage constructive and cooperative working relationships, often without introduction
