Job Description
Maintains and manages training programs and training management systems. Onboards new hires for all departments within the site and trains less experienced subject matter experts (SMEs) on all jobs and maintaining operating conditions within the desired range. Sets an example to follow all safety, quality, environmental, operational and personnel expectations. Identifies opportunities for improvements throughout the site and leads the implementation of changes both in physical operations and written documents.
Responsibilities:
- Exercises job knowledge to independently perform job responsibilities. First to learn new site technologies and train Technical Trainer. Drives strategies to correct deficiencies in the training program for all departments on site.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for all new hires in regard to training material and compliance. Ensure the new hires are compliant with learning management systems (ex. LERN, ComplianceWire), any other training requirements needed for Operations. Enhance existing onboarding process and content to expand scope for all departments.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance training delivery and effectiveness and evaluate use of new technologies (such as augmented reality, virtual reality, training videos, etc.) to enhance the skillset of the operators in preparation for more complex technologies coming to manufacturing. This includes developing Job Skills Training Module (JSTM), Job aids, Computer Based Training, videos, Instructor Led Trainings, AI training and augmented reality training.
- Sets example and enforces all safety, quality, environmental, operational and personnel policies. Communicates all events and issues with appropriate individuals. Knowledgeable of all jobs in assigned area of responsibility and Good Manufacturing Practices policies.
- Recommends and leads improvements on site processes and procedures. May be driven by Non-Conformance Report/Corrective Action/Preventive Action process. Coordinates solving problem situations where training can positively impact the outcome.
- Coordinates the development and facilitation of training to promote overall efficiency of production and human error reduction.
- Partners with Value Stream Leaders to develop, maintains, audits and verifies the Basic Operating Procedures (BOPs), Training JSTMs and Training Programs.
- Administers the onboarding program per department including GMP, packaging, manufacturing, validation, engineering, quality, maintenance, housekeeping, project manager, etc.( all site departments). Supports the developmental training programs on the site. Participates, as needed, in structuring of training plans driven by department managers.
- Leads Site level Train the Trainer classes. Manages feedback loop between students and SME trainers to ensure Train the Trainer class is effective. Continuously improves the Train the Trainer program applying feedback received.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in technical field, or associates degree in education, or at least 5 years work experience related to training facilitation and content development.
- Strong operating knowledge of complex equipment and monitors manufacturing process
- Strong knowledge of basic computer programs and manufacturing monitoring systems, and inventory management systems
- Strong technical knowledge with manufacturing experience in a chemical, biological, pharmaceutical, or similar environment is preferred
- General computer knowledge (i.e. Microsoft Office, Email, etc.). Proficient use of manufacturing monitoring systems to track and trend data critical to processes (i.e. ComplianceWire)
- Good problem-solving capabilities, organization skills, and time management.
- Demonstrates compliance to local and industry quality and safety standards.
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively interact with top and mid-level management within the AbbVie organization.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
