In this pivotal role, you will facilitate and lead the strategic development, tactical implementation, and financial planning components of all topics of the Brand Strategy and manage customer and other commercial activities including leading and coaching Sales Force to maximise brand sales and margin placing the patient at the center of any efforts and operating within AbbVie business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations. This is a People Manager role and reports directly into the Business Unit Director Oncology.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and drive a vision and strategic plan for the oncology business in Germany
  • Effectively manage and execute all marketing, sales and customer network related brand activities together with global and regional teams
  • Hold accountability for allocated Brand P&L in terms of brand sales and financial planning
  • Take accountability and responsibility for Brand Team activities and processes
  • Represents the interests and needs of the affiliate business at internal meetings
  • Build a high performing organization incl. talent management and succession planning
  • Manage and build a strong cross functional collaboration within the company as well aswith Global and Area
  • Maintain close relationships to KOLs
  • Ensure compliance with law, regulations and AbbVie Ways of Working

Additional Information

  • Significant Marketing / Brand Management and omni-channel experience as well as in-field experience in a Sales, Medical or Market Access function
  • Experience in leading cross-functional or in-field teams: proven track record in successfully building up high-performing teams and guiding them through change 
  • Therapeutic area experience: experience of working on more than one indication to demonstrate versatility and depth in your professional background
  • Financial Acumen:  strong understanding of financial concepts, particularly the ability to manage a P&L
  • Strong strategic mindset and preferably experience from a strategic position or gained through strategic projects
  • Strong change agent and understanding for future trends within pharma
  • Language skills: excellent German and English to converse with global  and local stakeholders as well as HCPs and patient advocacy groups alike
