Job Description
Purpose:
The Project Manager facilitates the worldwide execution of V&E projects in collaboration with Study Leads, Operations Leads, and cross functional partners. This position ensures smooth logistical support of department projects and initiatives; provides operational support for contract management, publication management as well as financial and compliance tasks. This role helps to identify opportunities to gain efficiencies on day-to-day business, projects, and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the timely execution of new requests submitted to the Research Execution Team including Service Agreements, SOWs, Amendments, and Data on File publications.
- Critically assess vendor proposals to ensure compliance requirements are met and study details including tasks, deliverables, and costs are clearly defined.
- Provide contracting oversight for V&E projects, Sunshine Act transparency reporting, accrual and invoice payment tracking, and financial issue resolution.
- Coordinate with Suppliers and Study Leads to forecast study timelines in support of planning and financial cycles.
- Manages contracting process and communication across all TAs/Pillars. Reviews assigned contract requests for completeness, manages review/approval process with vendor and study lead, and monitors progress through approval.
- Liaises with Operations Leads, OEC, Legal, Finance, and Purchasing for project-level issue resolution
- Identify and implement process improvement projects to increase efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor degree; prefer focus in Science, Computer Science, Business, or Project Management.
- Preferred: BA/BS with 4+ yrs relevant work experience.
- Prefer experience/training in the following areas: contracting, compliance, quality, business systems, software development or deployment, SOP/training development and facilitation, communications and media, and/or SharePoint design/development/administration, project management and/or business excellence tools and techniques.
o Process or project management training and/or certification
o Pharmaceutical or biotech industry - Be self-directed and work well in a team / matrix environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, internet tools, system usage, including electronic file storage and retrieval.
- Demonstrates critical thinking to recommend and implement process improvement projects. Seeks opportunities to optimize processes to create and disseminate actionable, value added information that achieves business needs.
- Demonstrates critical thinking to recommend and implement process improvement projects. Applies analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills through all aspects of the job, including the ability to interpret high-level requirements and gray areas and translates them into efficient processes. Anticipates and tests assumptions for broader impact to organization and processes.
