Job Description

AbbVie is looking for a Medical Advisor to join our Neuroscience team. In this position, you will represent AbbVie's medical and scientific expertise for assigned products in Migraine, in Norway, whilst playing a key role in the development and direction of our Scandinavian medical affairs mission.

Your key responsibilities will include:

•Develop and maintain in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of assigned products and relevant therapeutic areas through scientific self-study, training, and participation in national/international congresses and seminars.

•Establish and nurture professional relationships with key external experts, academic centers, and professional societies. Organize and coordinate advisory boards, discussion forums, and scientific symposia.

•Deliver impactful scientific presentations and medical education programs to healthcare professionals and internal AbbVie teams; facilitate internal scientific training sessions.

•Provide expert medical/scientific advice and input to support medical affairs strategies, brand strategies and launch plans, pricing and reimbursement dossiers, and clinical expert reviews.

•Lead and contribute to evidence generation initiatives, including the identification of evidence gaps and the design/oversight of clinical research projects (Phase IV, observational, registry, and epidemiological studies).

•Review and approve promotional materials to ensure accuracy, compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines, and scientific integrity. Ensure compliance with Norwegian laws and regulations, AbbVie’s policies, codes of conduct, and best practices.

• Serve as the main medical point of contact for Norway and collaborate with Scandinavian/global medical affairs teams on cross-border projects when relevant.

Qualifications

•Advanced degree in Medicine (MD), Pharmacy (PharmD), Life Sciences (PhD, MSc), or equivalent.

•Minimum 2 years of experience in medical affairs function within the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in neuroscience/migraine is preferred.

• Understanding clinical trial methodology and regulatory requirements; experience in protocol development and evidence generation is an advantage.

•High ability to build and maintain relationships and clearly and inspiringly communicate complex medical/scientific concepts to internal and key external stakeholders.

•Fluency in Norwegian and a strong command of English.

•Sound judgment, strategic thinking for developing and implementing medical strategies into business strategy

•Effective organizational and planning skills, and ability to work proactively in a dynamic setting with strong self-management, and collaborative mindset in cross-functional environments.

Additional Information

Our Norwegian office is situated in Oslo and we expect you to live in or nearby Oslo to enable you to work in a hybrid setup.

The position requires travel throughout Norway and some travel to congresses across Europe.
