Job Description
The Manager, Sales Forecasting Finance is responsible for overseeing all aspects of commercial sales forecasting for RINVOQ’s new indications (Vitiligo, Alopecia Areata, HS, SLE) within the Immunology Franchise. This leader manages the forecasting, reporting, and analytical processes to enable strategic financial planning and decision making. The Manager collaborates across cross-functional teams, ensures compliance with internal controls and financial policies, and drives process improvements and the adoption of best practices. This role delivers key FP&A requirements for all planning cycles (Plan, LBE, LRP, Portfolio, Actuals) and provides actionable insights to commercial and finance leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the development of accurate commercial sales forecasts for all planning submissions (Plan, LBE, LRP, Portfolio, Actuals), incorporating market dynamics and competitive landscape analysis for new RINVOQ indications with close collaboration and guidance from the Associate Director and Forecasting Director.
- Lead the integration of PCS forecasts into the Commercial Financial model and ensure seamless handoff and data integrity.
- Direct month-end close activities and prepare insightful management reporting packages for business leadership.
- Partner with Commercial, Pricing, Marketing Analytics, Finance, and Business Insights teams to resolve key business issues and support decision making through advanced analytical problem-solving.
- Drive continuous improvements in forecasting accuracy and process efficiency, championing new systems, methodologies, and best practices across teams.
- Manage and develop forecasting staff, providing coaching, training, and support to ensure high quality deliverables and professional growth.
- Uphold data integrity and compliance in all forecasting and reporting activities, maintaining adherence to AbbVie’s financial policies and internal controls.
- Prepare and communicate monthly sales results and volume forecasts to Commercial VPs and Finance Leadership, translating data into actionable insights.
- Lead and support key initiatives such as planning system standardization and management reporting optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, revenue forecasting, cost accounting, financial reporting or auditing; prior pharmaceutical or consumer industry experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience strongly desired.
- Advanced analytical, technical, and financial modeling skills; ability to drive processes and implement improvements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to interact effectively with all levels of management and influence across teams.
- High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP, BPC, and/or PowerBI a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, deliver on deadlines, and operate independently as a self-starter.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and agile problem-solving capabilities.
