Job Description
This role will support the Global Privacy Office in developing, executing, and enhancing AbbVie’s privacy compliance monitoring and analytics program, including the maturity of monitoring initiatives of privacy controls across the enterprise and the execution and adoption of privacy analytics tools and systems to manage and mitigate risk.
This role sits in North Chicago with a hybrid in office schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for informing, executing and adjusting the annual, Privacy Global and Local monitoring plans leveraging data analytics and performing data analysis to inform our on-going understanding of potential Privacy risks, and providing guidance for monitoring the compliance of business led activities.
- Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of privacy controls to ensure alignment with global privacy standards, policies and frameworks.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to report privacy metrics and compliance trends. Support the use and adoption of analytics and digital platforms through the development of effective analytics solutions, providing input on potential options and opportunities to address complex problems, and through the development and delivery of tailored analytics training and communications.
- Work closely with Business Technology teams to clearly articulate dashboard enhancements into technical requirements.
- Use data analytics and an understanding of privacy compliance risk prioritizing business activities for monitoring. Manage cross-functional team members to utilize and enhance metrics and analytics that monitor risk across Global and Local activities.
- Develop and maintain monitoring and analytics process documents (e.g., FAQs, process flows, checklists, trackers) and operational documents.
- Create, maintain and continuously improve monitoring plans and processes, including setting and managing monitoring objectives, developing monitoring schedules, and updating objectives based on changes in the compliance landscape.
- Develop and deliver formal monitoring process training to Global Privacy Office team members, providing guidance to the team related to monitoring activities as needed.
- Participate in cross-functional monitoring initiatives.
Qualifications
Qaulifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in risk management, data science, law or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in privacy, compliance, or risk management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
- Strong experience with analytics tools (e.g., PowerBI, Qlik), systems, and structures that facilitate an efficient and effective compliance program.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required. Additional languages are advantageous.
