Job Description
Allergan Aesthetics forms part of the exciting integration with AbbVie, we are a high achiever, high energy environment working across multiple countries and cultures. The Global Forecasting and Analytics Lead is a new highly visible and collaborative role with scope to lead Global forecasting / analytical projects.
Roles and responsibilities
- Accountable for the development of forecasts and analytical insights in Plastics/Regen Med, Body Contouring and Skin Care franchises within PCS
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, identify key issues, opportunities, and value drivers, and effectively translate strategic insights into appropriate forecasts to drive business decisions
- Partners with market research, Finance (Regional, R+D), downstream marketing and operations, to develop robust new product forecasts and to support the Long-Range Plan. Working hand in hand with Pipeline Commercialization & Strategy (PCS) marketing to connect strategy to Financial value across all stages of the new product development cycle. Working closely with regional marketing and finance teams, understanding key challenges and opportunities in the trading environment of those countries to inform and validate assumptions.
- Create and deliver forecasts to support R&D investment decisions at key milestones including go-to-Dev/Feasibility/Launch, as well as prioritization of R&D investment in new clinical programs
- Understand and utilize market research and business intelligence to discover and quantify financial impacts of marketing sizing and competitive events
- Manages operational aspects of the forecasting process including coordination of appropriate forecast inputs, reviews, alignment discussions, and data submissions
- Coordinates with financial leadership, to ensure PCS processes, deliverables, and story is coordinated into the overall franchise picture
- Provide analytical support for cross-functional or cross-franchise projects
Scope:
- Global role for Plastics, Regenerative Medicine, Body Contouring and SkinCare franchises
The candidate
- Solid understanding of analytical quantitative methods in information management and forecasting techniques
- Proven track record integrating market data and manipulating large, complex multiple sources to support business decisions
- Ability to triangulate a wide variety of data sets and analytics to inform forecasting in a clear and concise way
- High proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Demonstrated experience with strategic planning cycles
- Work collaboratively across multiple groups towards successful outcomes
- Ability to connect commercial business strategies to financial values
- Highly flexible, adapting to change and a fast-paced environment
- Able to work both autonomously and in a team-based environment
- Experience in pharmaceutical, aesthetics or medical device sector
- Drive, energy, and passion to advance AbbVie’s mission
- Demonstrate a high degree of proactivity to maximize value-add to the business
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably with a degree focused in business, marketing, sciences or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in analytics, forecasting, and/or financial planning and analysis
- International or global experience in forecasting is desirable

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location,and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
