Moving mountains together – as Scientist I - Bioassay Sciences and Development (all genders) (full-time, limited to 2 years)
As a Scientist within the Bioassay Sciences and Development group, you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of binding, cell-based, and potency assays for the characterization and quality control of innovative therapeutics and early phase biologics and you will have the chance to work and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Development, optimization and validation of analytical methods, specifically in vitro cell-based bioassays (e.g., cytotoxicity assays, reporter gene assays) and binding methods (ELISA: direct, indirect, sandwich; cell-based ELISA; SPR).
- Interpret analytical data and support laboratory activities internally and externally.
- Prepare laboratory reports and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in English
- Manage GMP laboratory organizational tasks (e.g., equipment SME duties, instrument qualification).
- Communicate independently in meetings and teleconferences; cooperate with other locations and departments both locally and globally
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education with typically 5 years of experience, or Master’s Degree or equivalent education with typically two years of experience.
- Strong analytical skill, solid background in cell culture and production of cryopreserved cell aliquots for assay applications.
- Expertise in designing binding and in vitro cell-based assays to reflect the molecule´s mode of action
- Good presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills, capable of evaluating, prioritizing, and independently managing diverse project tasks.
- Proven teamwork and networking abilities.
- Experience with electronic systems (e.g., Electronic Lab Notebooks) for proper documentation in regulated environments
- Experience with automation platforms is a plus
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and German are a must
