Job Description
Join a high-performing team dedicated to advancing patient care in specialized therapeutic areas, including Prostate Cancer/Urology and OB/GYN. As an AbbVie Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role by directly engaging healthcare professionals, driving product awareness, and achieving sales goals within your assigned territory. Success in this role requires rapid mastery of Buy & Bill processes, a strong understanding of AbbVie's portfolio, and a commitment to delivering outstanding results while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Responsibilities
- Engage with healthcare professionals to promote AbbVie’s products within Prostate Cancer/Urology and OB/GYN therapeutic areas.
- Execute brand strategy and field tactics, delivering on sales and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations for ongoing improvement.
- Effectively handle objections and drive calls to logical, actionable outcomes.
- Develop and execute a targeted call plan to optimize coverage of key customers, maximizing sales opportunities.
- Proactively build strong customer relationships, understand customer needs, and deliver solutions for win-win outcomes.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of therapeutic areas, product science, market trends, competitor landscape, and Buy & Bill processes.
- Coordinate activities with internal and external partners to maximize impact and align execution with brand strategy.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture focused on collaboration, learning, and integrity.
- Share market intelligence and insights with in-field teams and brand stakeholders for strategic alignment.
- Participate in team meetings and actively share insights to enhance team effectiveness.
- Embody AbbVie's Ways of Working and comply with all business conduct policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Proven track record of sales success and strong presentation skills.
- Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills; proficient with business tools.
- Ability to quickly assess customer behavior and flex approach as needed; skilled at operating in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: Experience 2+ years pharmaceutical sales, account management, managed healthcare, or marketing in relevant therapeutic areas Urology and/or OB Gyn; English proficiency as needed.
- Must meet all Health Care Industry Representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements for access to assigned facilities and organizations (including background checks, drug screens, vaccinations, licenses, etc.).
Key Stakeholders
External: Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists and others depending on brand plan. Internal: District Sales Managers, in-field team members, Brand Plan stakeholders, National Sales Managers, Business Unit Managers, Training, Customer Excellence.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
