Job Description
The Supply Chain Planner Lead (SCP) oversees long-term and end-to-end supply chain planning, creating feasible manufacturing and replenishment plans for internal sites, third-party suppliers, and global distribution centers, aligning with market needs and brand strategy. With network-level planning responsibilities for APIs, bulk, drug products, and components, they manage complex portfolios and possess top technical supply planning expertise. The SCP cultivates strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as AbbVie manufacturing plants, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, to enhance performance and communication. They understand the business, anticipate risks and opportunities, and strive to elevate standards for AbbVie's success and supply assurance. Utilizing the global planning system, they monitor planning parameters to ensure reliable data for AbbVie sites and affiliates, facilitating its use by third-party manufacturers and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Create, monitor and maintain a feasible 24-month end-to-end volume for supply and replenishment, and robust inventory plan for all assigned production families which fulfill business strategies, financial plans, and capacity constraints, and maintain the target inventory profiles to effectively support market sales.
- Support financial plan/LRP cycles by providing required data and input to long-term supply strategy.
- Participate in monthly S&OP cycle by chairing supply/demand review with manufacturing site leadership and providing inputs as required to other S&OP activity.
- Contribute to product Life Cycle Management by supporting/executing strategies and ensuring system alignment to product status.
- Act as partner for Operations Brand Leader and other brand team members by assessing the impact of projects and strategy on volumes and inventory.
- Support artwork changes by coordinating related supply activity including stock build assessments.
- Participate in/lead cross-functional projects as subject matter expert for GSP. Act as process owner for key processes within GSP function.
- Provide training and drive continuous improvement. Onboard/train new employees.
- Offer innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities and address challenges facing responsible product groups.
- Influence others when needed through use of SME knowledge and enterprise view.
Qualifications
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor required (Masters preferred) preferably in Operations, Supply Chain or Business Management.
- 8 years' work experience in pharmaceutical industry with a minimum of 5 years of supply chain or equivalent operations experience.
- Must be experienced with ERP systems, preferably SAP, very good in Excel
- Must be experienced with Advanced Planning Systems and/or tools.
- Be a team player with focus on improvement and a strong drive for results.
- Must possess high-level analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication is required. Excellent organizational skills are required.
- Persistent, resilient and resourceful when confronted with obstacles, and resolved issues in a timely manner.
- Proven strong problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to step into leadership role when required.
