As the Sr. Analyst of National Data Operations, you will continuously improve operational and reporting processes for national Rx and sales data in support of cross-functional business teams including, AbbVie’s MABI Analytics Teams, Forecasting, and Business Development. National Rx and sales data is a critical tool for understanding the performance of AbbVie franchises relative to the market and financial forecasts and is cleaned and organized into repositories to facilitate internal use. The Sr. Analyst, National Data Operations leads the Immunology repositories process which includes interfacing with suppliers of national data (e.g. IQVIA, Symphony Health, Syneos) to understand changes in data capture e.g., addition/removal of reporting pharmacies, product blocking, etc.; communicate appropriately with national data users, and implement changes to Immunology business rules under the guidance MABI Immunology leaders. In support of objectives related to reporting and repositories, the Sr. Analyst, National Data Operations assists in the supervision of an offshore team that supports all repositories, including Immunology.
Data Stewardship and Governance:
- Act as the Data Steward for syndicated national data, ensuring adherence to the USTO Data Governance Operating Model, overseeing, and improving data quality management activities of the offshore support team.
- Identify relevant changes in data capture through interface with data suppliers and partner with Immunology MABI leadership to implement appropriate corrections
- Champion Data Governance improvements aligned with Commercial Data Operations leadership.
- Manage the business data glossary, ensuring terms, classifications, and business rules are effectively documented and accessible to data users.
- Ensure compliance-related classifications and tagging are complete for all Critical Data Elements.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Assist the Manager, National Reporting with KPI tracking and other executive performance reporting weekly and monthly.
- Ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement of internal and third-party analytics pipelines.
- Ability to manage and interact effectively with external vendors of national data
- Ability to lead, manage and interact effectively with offshore team supporting reporting and repositories aligned with National Reporting Manager, and act as subject matter expert for Immunology repositories.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Establish strong cross-functional relationships with MABI Analytics Teams, Immunology teams, Data Governance, Data Strategy, and Forecasting.
- Assist with effective communication to senior executives and MABI analytics teams of data changes and enhancements implemented at vendor partners.
Qualifications
- BA or BS degree required. MBA or master’s degree in computer science, data science, or related technical field is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years of related analytics work experience, or master’s degree plus 2+ years of related work experience (business, system or commercial analytics, IT/systems experience).
- Strong working knowledge and experience with SQL, Power BI, and Excel. Expert with Excel data analysis and pivot tables is essential. Python experience is a plus.
- Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical commercial environment and business needs is preferred.
- Experience with data management tools and platforms (e.g., data warehouses, ETL tools)
- Demonstrated record of accomplishment of effective management of process(es) related to data in a matrixed internal environment and with vendor partners reflecting strong attention to detail, proactive issue management and effective cross-functional communication
- Strong analytical reasoning, intellectual curiosity, business acumen, and creativity in problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize substantial amounts of information into a concise, easy-to-understand story
- Experience communicating to senior executive leadership in a large multinational organization, demonstrating appropriate alignment with reporting line and attention to detail in executive-ready communications a plus
- Ability to build strong relationships with peers and cross-functional partners to enable higher performance.
- Open to suggestions and experimentation for improvement, embracing the ideas of others and nurturing innovation.
Hybrid in Mettawa, IL Tuesday through Thursday.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
