Maven Dental Burnside is a welcoming practice located in the heart of Burnside Village Shopping Centre. Known for our warm, personalised approach, we provide general, restorative and implant dentistry to patients across Adelaide's eastern suburbs.

With a third dentist joining the team in November, we're looking for a full-time Dental Assistant/Receptionist to support our continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team and build your career within a growing practice.

This is a predominantly chairside Dental Assistant role, with occasional reception support when required. Reception experience is not essential, as training can be provided.

Working closely with our dentists, hygienist, Practice Manager and front office team, you'll help deliver exceptional patient care and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

What your days look like:

You'll provide chairside support across a range of general, restorative and implant procedures while creating a positive experience for patients. As we welcome a third dentist to the practice, you'll play an important role in supporting our growing team.

We offer flexible working arrangements, including the option of a 9-day fortnight with every second Thursday off. Availability for the following roster is required:

• Monday: 8:45am - 5:30pm
• Tuesday: 9:45am - 7:30pm
• Wednesday: 8:15am - 4:30pm
• Thursday: 8:30am - 5:30pm (or every second Thursday off)
• Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing chairside assistance and exceptional patient care
• Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising instruments in line with infection control standards
• Welcoming patients and managing check-in and check-out processes
• Scheduling appointments and recalls and managing phone enquiries
• Processing payments, HICAPS claims and health fund enquiries
• Maintaining accurate patient records and billing information
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice

To succeed in the role, you will bring:

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant and/or a Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or higher)
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocols
• Confidence using dental practice management software (desirable)
• A warm, welcoming manner that puts patients at ease
• Clear and professional communication with patients and the team
• Reception experience is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided
• A willingness to learn new systems and develop your skills across the practice
• Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one
