Job Description
- As our Orthodontic Assistant, you'll play an integral role in supporting our clinical team and ensuring every patient has a positive experience.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting our Orthodontists and Orthodontic Auxiliary during orthodontic procedures
- Preparing treatment rooms and instruments for patient appointments
- Sterilising instruments and maintaining infection control standards
- Supporting patients throughout their treatment journey
- Completing administrative tasks as required
- Helping ensure the practice runs smoothly each day
Hours of Work
- Monday to Thursday | 8:15am - 5:30pm
Enjoy a consistent four-day work week, giving you long weekends every week.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is organised, adaptable, and passionate about patient care.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, patient-focused approach
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Confidence using computer systems and software
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, Clinical Assistant, or within a healthcare environment
- Basic knowledge of dental terminology and procedures (preferred)
- Flexibility to work across multiple Lumino locations when required
- Valid New Zealand work rights and residency in Invercargill
