Job Description
We're seeking a passionate, patient-focused Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist for a casual opportunity covering maternity leave, working Mondays and Tuesdays until the end of the year, with the potential to extend into 2027 based on practice needs.
Whether you're an experienced clinician or a new graduate looking to kick-start your career, you'll be supported by a friendly team, dedicated Dental Assistant support, and a loyal, long-standing patient base.
- Deliver high-quality preventative and periodontal treatment to an existing patient base
- Conduct patient assessments and provide oral hygiene education and preventative care
- Perform scaling, debridement, periodontal maintenance, and other treatments within your scope of practice
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with Australian standards and regulations
- Work collaboratively with the wider clinical and administrative team to ensure a positive patient experience
- Adapt to different practice environments and systems to support continuity of care
Qualifications
- Qualified Dental Hygienist or OHT (graduate or experienced), registered to practice in Australia
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Experience in using modern dental technology (intraoral cameras, digital radiography, and dental software) will be highly regarded
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and workplace safety
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dental team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for managing patient records and treatment plans
