Dental Assistant – Up to 4 Days Per Week | Glenelg Dental

Are you a friendly and patient-focused person looking to start or continue your career in dentistry? Glenelg Dental is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our supportive and welcoming team, with availability for up to 4 days per week.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a modern practice where you’ll work alongside experienced clinicians and a team that values collaboration, professionalism and delivering exceptional patient care.

Days available: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and occasional Saturdays.

We are open to candidates with dental experience, as well as those who are eager to learn. If you have the right attitude, a willingness to grow and enjoy working with people, we can provide training and support to help you succeed in the role.

Job Description

In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with our clinicians to help deliver a seamless and comfortable experience for every patient.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Chairside assisting across a range of dental procedures
  • Preparing and sterilising instruments and treatment rooms
  • Supporting infection control and clinical compliance processes
  • Assisting with patient care and creating a welcoming environment
  • Managing stock and general clinical support duties
  • Supporting the wider team where needed

Qualifications

What we value most is a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach.

Experience or qualifications in the following areas would be highly regarded:

  • Previous experience working as a Dental Assistant
  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting preferred but not essential
  • Experience using dental practice software systems
  • A valid Working With Children Check (essential)
