Job Description
As Practice Manager, you’ll enjoy a varied and well-supported role that combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on reception support. You’ll lead and inspire a passionate team while also helping create a welcoming and seamless experience for our patients at the front desk. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both operational leadership and being involved in the day-to-day running of a busy practice.
How you’ll make an impact
In this key leadership position, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy practice, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Alongside managing the operational and financial performance of the practice, you’ll also provide receptionist support when needed, assisting with patient interactions, bookings, and front-of-house coordination.
Your proven people leadership skills and business acumen will be essential as you empower your team to thrive and deliver outstanding care. You’ll take ownership of financial performance, budgeting, and operational targets, all while fostering a positive and professional environment for staff and patients alike.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- A confident and adaptable leader with proven experience in team leadership or practice management
- Previous reception or front-of-house experience, ideally within healthcare or a customer-focused environment
- Dental or medical sector experience is preferred but not essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships
- Comfortable giving and receiving feedback and supporting team development
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Solid understanding of financial management, including budgets, sales targets, utilisation, and P&L
- Confident using technology and open to learning new systems
- Have valid NZ work rights and live locally
