Lumino Burton & Brown is looking for a friendly, professional, and organised Receptionist to join the team on a full-time fixed-term basis for 5 weeks. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive healthcare environment where your customer service and administrative skills will be highly valued.

Job Description

Receptionist – Fixed-Term (5 Weeks)

As the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting patients and visitors with a warm and professional manner
  • Managing the reception area to maintain a welcoming environment
  • Answering and directing phone calls promptly and courteously
  • Scheduling and managing patient appointments using dental practice management software
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and administrative documentation
  • Processing patient check-ins and check-outs, including payments where required
  • Providing administrative support to the clinical team
  • Managing patient enquiries with empathy and professionalism
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic reception area
  • Performing accurate data entry and general administrative duties
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice

Hours for this role: 

  • Monday: 08:30am - 05:30pm
  • Tuesday: 08:30am - 05:30pm
  • Wednesday: 08:30am - 05:30pm
  • Thursday: 08:30am - 05:30pm
  • Friday: 08:30am - 05:00pm

Qualifications

  • Previous reception or administration experience preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare or dental environment is advantageous
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Professional presentation and a positive attitude
  • Confident using computers and data entry systems
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented
  • A patient-focused and customer-service driven approach
