Job Description

We’re looking for a passionate Oral Health Therapist to join our friendly, patient-focused dental practice in New Lynn. You’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality preventive and therapeutic care to patients of all ages, working alongside a supportive and collaborative dental team.

This is a part-time position, working:

  • Tuesday - 8am to 4pm
  • Friday - 7.30am to 2pm
  • Saturday - 7.30am to 2pm

What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver comprehensive oral health assessments and personalised treatment plans
  • Provide preventive care including scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments and oral health education
  • Empower patients with practical advice on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention
  • Maintain accurate electronic patient records and uphold best-practice infection control
  • Support smooth patient flow and contribute to a calm, reassuring experience—especially for anxious patients
  • Work closely with dentists and the wider team to deliver outstanding, coordinated care

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Current (or eligible) registration as an Oral Health Therapist in New Zealand
  • Strong clinical foundation in oral health therapy or dental hygiene
  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient-centred approach
  • Confidence using electronic records and practice management systems
  • A team player with great organisation skills and attention to detail
