Job Description
- Develop and maintain quality assurance standards and processes for all IT and telecommunications deliverables.
- Perform periodic inspections and assessments of contractor and Government compliance with IT policies and procedures.
- Provide independent quality assessments of IT projects and recommend improvements for organizational processes.
- Ensure all work performed aligns with contract requirements, Army IT policies, and industry best practices.
- Conduct formal and informal reviews at pre-determined project milestones.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to identify issues, track trends, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and track business-specific quality metrics to measure IT and telecommunications service performance.
- Analyze and document nonconformances, system deviations, and process inefficiencies.
- Manage quality improvement activities, including problem management, risk mitigation, and continuous process optimization.
- Recommend best practices for IT service management, network administration, and telecommunications operations.
- Work closely with Government stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to enforce QA policies.
- Prepare quality assurance reports, compliance documentation, and performance evaluations for leadership review.
- Maintain detailed records of audit findings, inspections, and corrective action plans.
- Ensure IT and telecommunications operations comply with Army RMF, DISA STIGs, ISO 9001, and industry quality frameworks.
Qualifications
3+ years experience in quality assurance for IT and telecommunications programs. Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired. Must be Security+ certified (or hold an equivalent certification in compliance with IAT Level II). ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification and ITIL Foundations certifications desired. Experience conducting audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning. Proficient in developing QA metrics, tracking performance, and implementing process improvements. Strong knowledge of ITSM, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements. Able to conduct formal and informal reviews of project deliverables to ensure quality compliance. Experience with ITIL-based service management, ITSM frameworks, and Army compliance requirements desired. Proficient with quality management systems (QMS), risk assessments, and process auditing methodologies. Able to interact professionally with all levels of an organization. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
