Job Description

  • Install, configure, operate, patch, secure, maintain, and administer a variety of IT or multimedia systems components. 
  • Control and distribution of audio and video for complex multimedia devices.
  • Install, configure, operate, maintain, and administer file servers, print servers, KVM switches, SANs, switches, operating systems, middleware software and various other IT hardware and software components. 
  • Assemble or construct simple or standard equipment or parts, servicing or repairing simple instruments or equipment. 
  • Conduct a variety of tests using established methods, prepare test specimens, adjust and operate equipment, record test data, and point out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors. 

Qualifications

3+ years experience in systems support.  Associate’s degree in a related field.  Experience with installation and configuration of current and legacy multimedia systems for presentation, distribution and recording.  Able to read, analyze, and interpret common technical documents and drawings.  Able to effectively present information to one-up levels of management.  Must have technical knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the IT or multimedia domains.  Able to extract engineering data from non-standardized sources, process the data following well-defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry, and presenting the data in prescribed form.  Capable of interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Proficient with Microsoft Office.  Able to demonstrate the following skills to a moderate-high level of competency: problem solving, customer service, oral/written communication, organizational support, planning and organization, quality, productivity, safety, security, adaptability, dependability, and punctuality.  Must be a US citizen.
