Currently we have Openings for "Technical Author" position with one of US MNC client in Engineering Sector.

About the Position

Title: Technical Author.

Reports to: MP Technical Publishing Team Leader.

Experience:4 to 6 yrs

Qualification : BE any stream

Location: Hosur

Role Purpose:
To research, process and produce technical publications for our client Operational, Maintenance and Spare Parts Manuals. This is undertaken in the most efficient and effective way possible in order to deliver to the end user the highest standards of technical documentation.

Key Accountabilities: 
* To produce, issue and revise end user publications to compliment the product build plan and business KPI targets. This includes but is not restricted to:
* Spare Parts Manuals.
* Operators Manuals.
* Maintenance Manuals.
* Manage the portfolio of tasks ensuring they are logged given priority level.
* To manage communication links with all key departments and suppliers, to obtain recommended spare parts information, technical specifications, vendor operational literature for all Systems, key components and sub-components.
* To support the site with any request where the skills of the team or equipment can be used to support the business.Targets & Performance Measures:
* All targets previously agreed and recorded must be either delivered or communicated back to management that they can not be met with the appropriate justification.
* Must ensure that all Publications supplied to customers have current and relevant technical information.
* Set up clear communication links with key suppliers, ensuring that all the required data is delivered within agreed timescales
* All technical publications must provide internal and external customers with clear un-ambiguous information, reducing diagnostic & rectifications time
* Provide our client with a highest profile within the industry, thus providing world class technical publications.

Skills & Knowledge:
* Good knowledge of our client MP products and ability to understand and write manuals with content including all Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical Systems.
* Ability to write documentation to the targeted audience.
* Excellent knowledge of Pulse and Pro-e. 
* Excellent report and procedural processing skills.
* Ability to generate and compile detailed images for Publications reference.
* Experience of authoring software such as: PageMaker, In Design or FrameMaker. 
* Previous experience gained within a Technical Publications environment while not necessary would be advantages.
