Job Description

What you can expect

A 'Seeker' is an individual who wishes to buy or rent a property via one of our classified portals.  At AVIV we have a team of dedicated experts who are responsible for helping our Seekers unlock their perfect place across all brands under the AVIV Group in Europe.

We're looking for an individual to join the Seeker management team and lead teams across France, Germany and Belgium and build a strong partnership with their Product Partners across the AVIV Group. This will include:

Technical management 

  • Lead and support the engineers architect, develop and run multi-country  
  • Understand engineering gold standard and seek to improve them
  • Generate and implement process improvements, especially cross-team processes
  • Improve product quality, security, and performance
  • Participate in the technical roadmap elaboration for his/her own domain
  • Drive best in class technical design and architecture  

Delivery Management 

  • Enable team collaboration in the domain and across the Product and Tech organisation
  • Enable Product, Quality, DevOps and UX performance via solid stable-counterpart partnership
  • Setup and Manage cross functional teams to deliver value and transform our platform
  • Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other engineering leaders to enable experiences

People management and coaching

  • Build a globally-distributed, happy, and successful team
  • Manage three or more engineering  managers.
  • Provide your team with management mentorship
  • Create a supportive environment for continuous feedback in both directions (manager-staff and vice versa). 

Engineering practice 

  • Ensure the right balance between technical and product roadmaps
  • Educate Product Managers (PMs) and engineering  leads on tech debt
  • Ensure a diligent approach with quality assurance, documentation, training, security compliance and operational excellence of corporate and platform solutions in accordance with AVIV policies.

Qualifications

About you

  • Experience in managing engineering managers 
  • An individual experienced in Managing in a matrix organisation
  • Proven experience  as a technical leader for managers of managers in an equivalent environment running teams that deliver projects of significant complexity 
  • You have proven experience in driving an organisation in an agile and Product lead environment.
  • A strong product mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative
  • Experience in leading with OKR 
  • Technically confident to understand the technical ins and outs and the associated issues
  • You work well with all kinds of personalities and with teams from multiple cultures, geographies and competencies 
  • Clear, structured thinking and excellent communication skills
  • Fast learner and eager to share knowledge
