What we do in Finance in AVIV

Finance is a pivotal function at AVIV Group. Teams within Finance which include, Financial Planning, Analysis, Accounting, Mergers and Acquisitions, Group Treasury, Tax and Procurement have a combined responsibility to ensure we grow sustainably, responsibly and aligned to our ambition of being the leading Real Estate Classifieds company in Europe. This is an exciting time to join our division as we build and capture our equity story.

What we are looking for

• Establishment of the Corporate Accounting team as well as technical and disciplinary management of the future team 
• Preparation of an accounting policy for the group
• Development and independent preparation of monthly internal group reporting
• Solving a wide range of complex accounting and consolidation issues according to IFRS and HGB
• Integration of subsidiaries (including support in the PPA process, integration into the reporting system, support in accounting issues) as well as ensuring a high reporting quality and consulting/support of all subsidiaries
• Support and consulting of M&A projects
• Networking within the holding company and with contact persons in the subsidiaries
• Establishing and ensuring the functionality of an internal control system in the area of corporate accounting

Who we are looking for

• University education in economics or business administration 
• At least 7 years of professional experience in an international accounting firm or in the group accounting department of an internationally company
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of international and German accounting rules as well as consolidation procedures
• Very good tax law knowledge
• Very good knowledge and experience in connection with acquisitions and valuations (due diligence, purchase price allocation, reporting integration)
• Leadership experience (personnel and technical responsibility)
• Strong communication skills, perseverance, ability to work in a team
• High degree of independent work, self-responsibility, personal initiative and cooperation skills
• Analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Business fluent in English
