As part of the development of our distribution centre in the Czech Republic, we are looking for a General Manager.

• oversee the operations of the distribution centre, including people, health & safety, systems, processes, productivity management, and capacity planning:
• create an effective organisational structure
• provide a best-in-class end-to-end supply chain & logistics solution, ensure all aspects of warehousing and distribution function efficiently
• mentor management/supervisory team members, promote best practice and collaboration, ensure information flow to the team is relevant, provide the team with clear and achievable goals and objectives
• understand the latest trends in systems, technology and working practices with a view to implementing when appropriate and relevant
• work with the senior management team

• 7+ years of professional experience in a similar position in operational or financial management, preferably in the e-commerce sector
• a master’s degree (preferred fields: logistics, finance, supply chain management, or related)
• experience in indirect management of a group of at least 600 employees; strong communication, organisational and leadership skills, as well as the ability to create a positive atmosphere in the workplace
• the ability to effectively increase the efficiency of the operational department, which you can demonstrate with concrete results; the ability to make quick decisions and act decisively in a dynamic environment
• experience in launching new DC is a plus
• Czech (min. C1 level), English (min. B2 level), German or Russian is a plus
