In this role, you own delivery and measurable outcomes that power pricing, offer creation, and related platform capabilities. You'll translate strategy into clear requirements and a prioritized backlog, ensuring the right work is built at the right time.
Working closely with engineering, design, and business analysts, you'll bring structure to complex problems, communicate trade-offs transparently, and track feature performance once released. You are accountable not only for what ships, but for how it performs and evolves over time.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Product Scope Ownership
- Own execution and outcomes for your product domain.
- Translate business objectives and customer needs into well-defined user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure that delivered functionality meets defined success metrics and intended outcomes.
- Synthesize feature performance, customer feedback, and delivery learnings into actionable recommendations that inform roadmap direction and prioritization.
Backlog Strategy and Prioritization
- Own prioritization across features, defects, and technical investments within your scope.
- Maintain and order the product backlog with clear rationale aligned to business value and customer impact.
- Lead backlog grooming and readiness sessions to ensure work is clearly defined and development ready.
- Ensure alignment between backlog priorities and sprint planning commitments.
Delivery Excellence
- Produce detailed, testable user stories, including edge cases and end-to-end workflows.
- Communicate scope changes, trade-offs, and timeline shifts clearly to engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Partner closely with Engineering and Design to shape solutions that are user-centered and technically feasible.
- Balance speed, quality, and technical health in decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Business Analysts to refine requirements, validate assumptions, and deepen domain understanding.
- Guide Business Analysts on the level and type of support needed for each initiative, including research, data analysis, workflow validation, or product walkthroughs.
- Create and maintain Confluence documentation and Teams channels to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Effectively manage diverse stakeholders across business, commercial, and technical teams.
Data-Driven Optimization
- Monitor adoption, performance, and operational metrics for delivered features.
- Propose targeted enhancements or follow-on work based on measurable results.
- Use qualitative and quantitative inputs to continuously refine priorities and solution direction.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 5 to 8 years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in a SaaS environment.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, backlog management, and sprint planning practices.
- Experience operating in B2B or B2B2C environments with complex stakeholder landscapes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and make clear trade-off decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business impact and vice versa.
- Experience using data to inform prioritization and evaluate product performance.
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years managing customer-facing APIs or platform capabilities.
- Familiarity with SQL and the ability to independently explore and validate data.
- Experience in the travel industry or other data-intensive, ecosystem-driven markets.
