Job Description
🎯 Role Overview
Reporting to the Company Security Controller, you'll oversee the Personnel Security and Aftercare functions to ensure the protection of our people and assets. The role will be hybrid working and anticipated 2-3 days a week in the office with regular travel required to other offices.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
👥 Leadership & Development: Manage and develop the Personnel Security team.
🛡️ Security Controls: Apply and maintain effective personnel security controls to safeguard our information, assets, and personnel.
📞 Point of Contact: Address security and vetting inquiries with discretion.
📝 Risk Management: Ensure personnel security risks are effectively managed by conducting thorough checks and applying ongoing security controls.
📊 Strategy Development: Shape and drive our Personnel Security Strategy.
💬 Guidance & Awareness: Provide advice and training across the business.
🚨 Incident Management: Manage security incidents, ensure follow-ups, share lessons learned.
📋 Policy Updates: Advise on policy changes for personnel security.
✅ Audit & Accreditation: Manage necessary security audits.
📂 Record Maintenance: Ensure security records are accurate and up-to-date.
🤝 Support: Providing general assistance to the Security Department as needed.
Qualifications
🎓 Requirements
🕴️ Skills:
- Reliable, organised, self-motivated
- Strong decision-making and prioritisation skills
- Must hold or be eligible for security clearance
📑 Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Degree in security or relevant experience
- DISA Vetting Training (desirable)
- Security Institute membership (desirable)
Additional Information
Security Clearance:
Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
