Job Description

The Role: 

We're looking for a highly engaged and passionate Software Engineer to join one of our back-end teams in the Customer Care Technology domain. You will work at all stages of the product lifecycle from requirements capture, through design and implementation to system testing, integration and deployment. 

The successful candidate would also be encouraged to engage in training, conferences and other exercises to continuously broaden their skills. This is intended to develop both their career and their contribution to the team.

THE TEAM 

The Customer Care Technology team consists of a total of 30+ people, split across four cross-functional feature teams supported by Architects, Business Analysts and Engineering Leads. 

Customer Care also works closely with Analytics, UX/UI, Infrastructure central teams to build the ultimate experience for our internal Customer Care Advisors, using the most recent Cloud technologies available on the market.

Qualifications

We’d love to meet someone with experience of:  

  • Latest versions of .NET Framework (C#)
  • Azure Kubernetes service (AKS) / app services
  • Azure Service Bus
  • Azure Cosmos DB, SQL DB
  • GitHub, Azure DevOps
  • ATDD/BDD
  • Interest in crafting high quality software
  • Scrum/Kanban

What You’ll Be Doing:    

  • Work as part of an enthusiastic and motivated agile development team that takes pride in delivering high-quality software into production
  • Take a test first approach from business requirements through to code
  • You will continually develop and improve our code and technology, whilst playing an active role in the conception of brand-new features for our millions of global customers
  • Keep our customers happy by writing high quality code to handle our hyper-scale demand
  • Join our regular Tech Develops days to learn new things, take part in internal and external hackathons, share your knowledge and help to drive improvements in engineering
