ASOS Media Group  

A dedicated brand partnerships team, ASOS Media Group works with our strategic brands across all ASOS audience touch points. The ASOS Media Group team has grown significantly over the last few years working directly with our partner brands, collaborating with ASOS’s design, creative, fashion, production and commercial retail teams to implement impactful, effective and strategic marketing campaigns on and off ASOS’s owned and operated properties.   

ASOS Media Group - Data Product Squad   
The data product squad is a dedicated tech team working only on ASOS Media Group priorities for speed of output. It will be responsible for the first party data sets that underpin the ad tech and other ASOS tech platforms to provide value to brand partners for marketing strategy and tactics. Advertising campaign and ASOS sales / customer behaviour data will be available to shape the output. The data product squad is responsible for automating and scaling all data that is available to the platforms and ensuring that data can be moved and manipulated as needed to achieve the end goals of AMG.  

Outputs of the Data Product Squad could include, but are not limited to 1) Measurement foundations (advertising campaign data, testing, defining dimensions/metrics outside of ad tech ecosystem); 2) Dashboards/reports (eventually automated) – ad tech/ASOS visualisation tool connectors, advertising audience planning/sizing tools, audience overlap reports, ASOS audience behavioural insights; 3) Targeting (Audience sizing/planning and targeting, custom audience targeting based on segmentations or propensity/predictive models).  

Job Description

The Role: 

The Insights Manager for ASOS Media Group sits within the Insights team in ASOS and reports to the Senior Insights Manager for Marketing. You will lead on insight for the ASOS Media Group within the Insights team. You will be responsible for training, supporting and developing analysts of differing levels of experience. Your team will be responsible for reporting on campaign performance and completing ad-hoc analysis for our Brand Partners. Your team will also be responsible for optimising the ASOS proposition including testing ad placements and the creation of bespoke audiences. You will be keen to learn and happy to expand your knowledge of different platforms to lead a team within an exciting and fast-growing area of ASOS.  

What you’ll be doing… 

  • Managing, coaching, and developing a team of insight analysts  

  • Responsible for ASOS Media Group insight including post-campaign reporting, bespoke insights for brand partners, optimisation of ad placements and creation of bespoke audiences 

  • Working closely with our Sales and Account Management team to deliver impactful insight to our Brand Partners 

  • Ensure team deliver high quality, action-oriented insight to both internal teams and external stakeholders 

  • Collaborate with the cross-functional AMG teams including Product, Ad Operations and Marketing Technology to improve the AMG offering. 

  • Building relationships with key Partners and teams in order to deliver bespoke solutions to their needs. 

  • Work with the Senior Manager and AMG senior leadership to develop and prioritise a roadmap of relevant, strategic insight to optimise the proposition alongside providing key insight to partner brands. 

  • Working cross-functionally with Insight, Commercial and Finance teams within ASOS to ensure alignment of analysis and reporting. 

  • Review existing analysis processes to improve efficiencies, and challenge analytical methodologies to improve accuracy of insights and maintain a focus on keeping the business and team at the forefront of analytics approaches  

  • Champion AMG data and insight across the wider insight team, ensuring visibility of your team’s work as well as the optimum methodologies and metrics being used 

Qualifications

We’d love to meet someone with… 

  • A strong track record in a Marketing Insights role with experience leading teams/projects  

  • Strong e-commerce/Marketing analytics knowledge particularly within in-depth knowledge of Programmatic or Sponsored Ads an advantage. 

  • Experience managing an insights or analytics team of different level analysts. 

  • A proactive approach and a curious mindset. 

  • Incredibly organised with experience in Agile working a nice to have. 

  • Advanced level in SQL, Excel and PowerPoint required. 

  • Experience in other analytics tools/languages an advantage (Google Analytics, Python, Adobe Analytics, PowerBI, Looker). 

  • An amazing communicator who is always clear and concise. 

  • Knowledge of web measurement technologies and ad tech an advantage. 

  • Excellent attention to detail and prides themselves on delivering high quality work. 

  • An aptitude in handling multiple tasks and managing priorities. 

  • A love of collaboration with strong interpersonal skills.
