Job Description

This role primarily focuses on business partnering with the Customer Growth & Marketing teams to support them with planning, forecasting and subsequently tracking their sales driving initiatives. You will take ownership of our student customer group, working closely with our insights team to develop business cases to drive growth within this customer segment. Additionally, this role will involve partnering our Global Trade team on country/territory specific business cases to ensure that we are serving our customers all over the world to the highest possible standard whilst maintaining profitability.

This role is highly commercial with a huge scope to drive meaningful change within the business as we progress with improvements and innovations to drive our ambition to be the number one destination for fashion loving 20-somethings. We are therefore looking for someone who is highly commercial, gets their energy from challenging assumptions and translating abstract concepts into robust financial models, and enjoys building relationships with stakeholders but isn’t afraid to have a healthy debate.

What you'll be doing...

  • Act as a finance business partner with various stakeholders, supporting the business to build and forecast sales driving initiatives, working with them through to implementation.
  • Own the measurement of the performance of Student and Customer Lifecycle sales initiatives once they go live.
  • Work with the Global Trade team to financially assess and verify country/territory specific sales or profit initiatives.
  • Create post investment wrap ups with stakeholders and insights team, presenting findings and recommendations back to Heads Of and Directors.
  • Feed initiatives sales forecasts into whole company budget and reforecasts, ensuring they are captured accurately and completely.
  • Coordinate with other finance teams to ensure that any other incremental impacts of business cases are fed into budgets.
  • Regularly work on ad-hoc analysis and scenario modelling to support the rest of the team.
  • Contribute to weekly reporting for C-suite.




    We'd love to meet someone with...

    • Applicants must have an accounting qualification to be eligible for this role (preferably CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
    • Business partnering & stakeholder management experience.
    • A proven ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
    • A strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
    • Advanced skills in Excel.
    • A high standard of accuracy with financial and statistical data.
    • An ability to organise own work and to take initiative.
    • An ability to determine insightful observations from detail for management attention.
    • Commercial awareness.
    • Good communication/ interpersonal and influencing skills.
    • A flexible approach and is open to change.
    • A pro-active attitude.
