Job Description

What you'll be doing...

  • Deliver actionable insights to shape the retail strategy by analysing and interrogating data on products, brands, and customers, with a focus on key growth areas such as Face & Body and Sportswear
  • Work with buying and merchandising to generate insights that will shape category growth, and ensure we have the most relevant branded offering for our 20-something customers
  • Work with retail, central merchandising, and global planning to drive a view of opportunity within stock planning and management across our global warehouses and how this affects short- and long-term performance
  • Work with business partners in Finance and Merchandising to understand profitability and opportunities for margin and bottom line improvements
  • Work with the Senior Insight Manager and retail leadership to develop and prioritise a roadmap of relevant, strategic insight
  • You will work with the other analysts in the Insight team as well as stakeholders to ensure the recommendations we deliver to the business are aligned and informed with commercial background
  • Work with Data Services to improve efficiency around data availability and usability across the team and within retail
  • Work with retail stakeholders and the Senior Insight Manager to drive an understanding of how data and insight can drive efficiency and add value across the business
  • Champion retail data and insight across the wider insight team, ensuring correct methods and metrics are used
  • Support wider insight team with advanced analytics deliverables and/or training and oversight, as relevant
  • Work closely with the AI team to ensure knowledge and capability sharing, as relevant
  • Proactively seek to keep the business and team at the forefront of analytics approaches that could drive customer value


We'd love to meet someone with...

  • Experience working in an analytical role, with a track record of delivering insight to inform commercial decisions
  • Understanding of and keen interest retail is essential, previous retail experience would be desirable
  • Highly numerate and strong attention to detail
  • Passion for problem solving
  • Proactive approach and enthusiasm for sharing ideas and driving them forward
  • Able to communicate information clearly and concisely
  • Good project management skills, able to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities as needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Economics, Business, Finance)
  • Strong Web Analytics skills (Adobe, Google Analytics)
  • Strong SQL skills
