Job Description
ARHS Group, part of Accenture, is looking for a Senior Elasticsearch & Cloud Engineer to join our internal team in Luxembourg.
In this role, you will lead the architecture, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of large-scale search and data platforms built around Elasticsearch and the Elastic Stack. Beyond project delivery, you will act as the technical lead for Search & Elastic technologies, helping define engineering standards, guiding project teams, and driving innovation across multiple customer engagements.
THE WORK:
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Elasticsearch-based search platforms.
- Define reference architectures, engineering standards, and best practices for Search & Elastic technologies.
- Design and supervise ingestion pipelines to collect, transform, enrich, and index documents, metadata, logs, and events.
- Build search, observability, and detection capabilities using Kibana dashboards, alerts, and monitoring solutions.
- Deploy and operate cloud-native workloads on Azure and/or AWS using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Terraform, Ansible, and related technologies.
- Integrate Elasticsearch with enterprise applications through REST APIs, Java/Spring Boot microservices, messaging systems, and relational databases.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, security, performance, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery across production platforms.
- Contribute to cloud migration, modernization, and platform upgrade initiatives while ensuring service continuity.
- Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to strengthen CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, release management, and operational excellence.
- Mentor engineers, review technical designs and code, resolve complex technical challenges, and contribute to architecture documentation.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- At least 6 years of experience in software, cloud, or platform engineering, including 4+ years working with production Elasticsearch platforms.
- Strong expertise with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Beats), including index design, Query DSL, aggregations, relevance tuning, performance optimization, security, and production operations.
- Experience designing and operating data ingestion and observability solutions.
- Strong backend development skills with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL, and relational databases (PostgreSQL and/or Oracle).
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Terraform, Ansible, Nginx, and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Good understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, and secure software delivery.
- Experience working with distributed systems and messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Strong technical leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Fluency in English or French. Knowledge of both languages is a strong advantage.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience with semantic search, multilingual search, Apache Lucene, Solr, RDF/SPARQL, or OWL.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted retrieval, vector search, or hybrid search architectures.
- Experience designing highly available search platforms for public sector, regulated, or enterprise environments.
- Elastic, Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, ITIL, or architecture certifications.
- Knowledge of Python or Groovy.
