Arηs Group, Part of Accenture, is looking for a Senior ABAP Developer for one of its clients at the EU Institutions in Brussels.

Role & Responsibilities

• Analyzing functional specifications and clarifying any missing or ambiguous information.
• Proposing technical software solutions that meet requirements, ensuring quality, performance, usability, and maintainability, using SAP ABAP technologies.
• Evaluating, comparing, and recommending solutions, identifying technical consequences and opportunities.
• Producing technical designs and specifications.
• Implementing and testing ABAP solutions in SAP environments.
• Providing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Supporting and assisting on technical software solutions.
• Communicating about solutions and sharing knowledge with the team.
• Contributing to requirements gathering, including prototyping and participating in workshops with stakeholders.
• Coordinating with consultants, developers, and other stakeholders for solution implementation.
• Estimating required development effort.
• Ensuring all work complies with quality plans and security regulations.
• Optionally managing or coordinating a team, defining technical standards, and proposing software architectures for complex solutions.

Technical Skills

Required:

• ABAP development, including ABAP Objects, Dynpros, ALV tables, WebDynpros, BSP, workflows, SAPscripts, Smartforms, Adobe forms, user-exits, enhancements, BADI, BTE.
• Interfacing technologies such as IDocs, REST, XML, BAPIs, batch-inputs.
• Familiarity with ABAP and ADT development environments.
• Debugging and testing tools (e.g., eCATT, LSMW, authorization objects).

Nice to Have:

• CDS views and related technologies.
• Git version control system experience.
• Embedded Analytics, especially programming CDS views in S/4HANA Embedded Analytics.
